Directional Non-Force Technique (DNFT®) is a chiropractic method that focuses on gentle and precise adjustments to the spine and musculoskeletal system to relaign the body, without the use of traditional forceful manipulation. Developed by Dr. Richard Van Rumpt in 1923, DNFT® aims to correct misalignments in the spine and promote overall well-being by emphasizing specific directional corrections.

In DNFT®, practitioners use a light touch and specific positioning to identify and address subtle imbalances in the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system. The technique is designed to work with the body’s natural movements, allowing for a non-invasive and gentle approach to chiropractic care. The goal is to restore proper alignment, optimize nervous system function, and support the body’s ability to heal itself.

This method is particularly suitable for individuals who may be sensitive to traditional chiropractic adjustments or prefer a more gentle approach to spinal care. As with any healthcare approach, it’s essential to consult with a qualified healthcare professional to determine the most appropriate treatment for individual health needs.

We participate and are in-network with Horizon BlueCross BlueShield and Medicare Part  B. Should you have any questions regarding your insurance coverage, please contact our office before your first visit and we’ll review them with you.  Please call our office at 609-267-5550.

We strive keeps our fees as reasonable as possible in an attempt to not limit anyone from obtaining the care they need.

The first visit to our office involves taking your past health history, a consultation, a neurological and orthopedic examination, a Chiropractic examination, DNFT analysis and a treatment. Our office tries very hard to run on schedule, therefore we ask our patients to arrive early and be prepared to spend a half hour being examined and adjusted by the doctor. A radiologist may be consulted for x-rays or MRI’s in cases where our Doctors may suspect fracture, disease, or disc involvement. Other testing or specialty consultation with neurologists or orthopedists may be recommended.

Chiropractic
The Doctors of Hainesport Chiropractic provide safe, effective spinal corrections through Directional Non-Force Technique, better known as DNFT® to help you achieve your fullest health. There are no body twists or bone popping in this gentle procedure. It is effective whether a patient is a small infant, a senior citizen or someone with extreme pain or muscle spasms.

Customized stretches and exercises
As a patient of Hainesport Chiropractic, you may receive additional instruction to help you manage your pain and maintain your health at home. This can include stretches and exercises that are designed to address your particular need.

DNFT is a 4-part process:

1) It first demonstrates if the subluxation—pinched nerve—is actually causing the pain.

2) Once causation is established, it shows exactly which structure is producing it.

3) With the proper thrust effected by the doctor, the correction is made.

4) A post-test is conducted to demonstrate that the subluxation has been removed and nerve interference eliminated.

DNFT® differs from traditional chiropractic adjustments in that it uses minimal force and specialized instruments, focusing on gentle and precise corrections rather than forceful manipulations.

DNFT® is safe for patients of various ages, including children and the elderly. DNFT® is tailored to the individual, thus the suitability will depend on the patient’s health and condition, and the chiropractor’s assessment.

It is a wonderful form of chiropractic especially for those who prefer a less forceful approach or have sensitivity to traditional chiropractic adjustments.

Many patients report experiencing relief from pain and discomfort after DNFT® treatments, but the speed and degree of relief can vary from person to person.

DNFT® adjustments are designed to be as gentle as possible to minimize discomfort. Most patients do not experience pain during the procedure.

The duration of a DNFT® session can vary but often is less than 10 minutes.

The number of sessions needed can vary depending on the individual’s condition and goals. Some patients may experience improvement after just a few sessions, while others may require more.

DNFT® is generally considered safe with minimal side effects. Some patients may experience mild soreness or stiffness after a session, but this typically resolves quickly.

Many patients choose to combine DNFT® with other healthcare treatments or therapies. It’s important to discuss your treatment plan with your healthcare providers for coordination.
